Original Steam description
In a world where human imperfection is no longer tolerated, those deemed impious are captured and dragged underground. You wake inside a system designed to break you, where every door hides a different threat and every choice leaves a mark. Obey their rules or learn to break them.
FEATURES
MANAGE YOUR IMPULSES
Like every human, you are driven by impulses. In combat, they modify your skills: increasing their power, adding effects, spreading them across targets or even reversing their outcome. Spend Energy to generate or reroll them, then choose how to combine them each turn.
READ THEIR INTENTIONS
Know exactly what your enemies are planning to do, how powerful their actions will be, and which impulses they'll use. Plan ahead, manipulate their intentions, and use that information to your advantage before making your move.
LOOT / ITEMIZATION
Weapons, amulets and artifacts packed with affixes to combine. Build your character by optimizing attributes, odds and stats to survive.
CHOOSE YOUR PATH
Each door shows the odds of what lies behind it. Shrines, Stashes, merchants or enemies… only you decide when and what to risk.
SACRIFICE TO PROGRESS
Shrines demand offerings before they leave their mark on your mask. Sacrifice items, Energy or even Health to shape your build. Loot containers may require lockpicks, tools or some of your own strength to break into. Decide what you're willing to give up for what lies ahead.
CRAFTING
The facility is full of materials, use them to create weapons or consumables. What you craft could save your life or buy you one more turn.
NEGOTIATE
Some of the center’s servants are willing to trade. Barter for what you need, or gamble your valuables on something unknown. There is no money here. Everything has a price.
...
Losing a fight doesn't end your run, but you will be corrected and re-educated. Manage your will carefully, because losing it all means there is no coming back.
