This is the updated demo for Prison of Husks, which contains the first level and boss fight of what will be in the full game experience. Improvements have been made to combat, visuals, items, enemies, and tutorials from the previous demo, but it may still be missing some elements you’ll see in the full game. We’re now approaching the end of development and appreciate any feedback you’d like to share!

Awaken in Lysiane - a heavenly afterlife painted by the hand of a pure heart. Your soul has found its new vessel here, but all that is left around you is a haunting desolate landscape now crumbling beneath your feet.
What put its painter to rest? Where is your love?
BREAK HEARTS, MEND HEARTS.
Challenge an assortment of vicious foes, from cunning dolls to decaying pigment beasts. Their unfulfilled desires linger, but you must find resolve.
As you traverse this world, you may assist kind souls in soothing their aching hearts. However, not everyone is your friend. Lysiane is festered with lovelorn bosses who have spiralled into an unending desire.
DRESS FOR THE OCCASION
Ignite the flame within by engaging in combat. Fuel your adrenaline to bolster your damage. Parry attacks with precision timing to find your openings.
The world offers an arsenal of equipment to discover and experiment with. Whether it be pistols or magic, attune your doll from blade to brooch. Each boss encountered offers new challenges. You must mix and match your loadout to overcome those who will stand in your way.
There is no leveling here. When you fall, you must get back up and try new strategies.

PRISON OF HUSKS is inspired by early PlayStation classics, and was initially the result of months of solo game dev by Tammy Morley. The prototype immediately found an audience on itch.io, secured development funding, and the small team would love your feedback ahead of release.
