OUR USE OF AI

As a studio, we believe that using generative AI to create art and audio raises serious ethical concerns. These tools are built on the work of human artists, often without their meaningful consent, and risk displacing the very people whose skills and livelihoods they depend on.

We make our own assets wherever practical, particularly player models, tools, and other important elements of our games. Where we use purchased asset packs, we carefully vet the platforms and creators to make a reasonable effort to ensure the work comes from human artists.

All art and audio in our game is created by humans. We do not use generative AI to produce either. We encourage players to support the artists behind the games they love, including through their purchasing choices.

We do use machine translation as a temporary development aid while writing and refining our game's translations. These translations are placeholders and may be revised before release.
