About the game
A turn-based RPG about eating lots of cakes, hanging out with your friends, writing haikus, hearing tons of dad jokes, and exploring a world full of unique characters. It's also about surviving child abuse, dealing with your crazy, mentally-ill mother, and dealing with the fact that nothing lasts.

Birthday Boy and Benny is an emotional turn-based RPG set in a colorful world with strange characters that may be even stranger than you first realize. Everything seems so familiar to you - before you were born, you saw your whole life flash before your eyes, just like what happens when you die.
You expected your life to be full of hearing Dad Jokes from everyone. You expected your life to be about writing haikus, eating lots of cakes on your birthday, and maybe exploring some haunted houses every once in a while.
You didn't expect to be abused by your mentally-ill mother. She wishes you were never born. Everything you do annoys her. She hates that you love cake. She hates it when you cry. She hates that you write haikus.
Please, Mother, don't hit me
