About the game

Description d’origine sur Steam

Shape the fire. Grow the island.

Isle Forge is a single-player top-down god game about shaping volcanic islands and helping autonomous island communities survive, expand, and reconnect across the sea.

You do not control villagers individually. Instead, you use Mana to reshape the world they live in: remove and restore terrain, carve channels, uncover resources, create freshwater springs, collect lava, and direct eruptions. Your choices determine where water settles, where lava flows, what land can be reached, and where a settlement can grow.

Lava is both a danger and your path forward. Guide finite lava flows through channels and into the ocean to cool them into permanent basalt land. Build a route across the water, connect distant shores, and turn separate islands into a growing archipelago. You cannot simply place land in the ocean—new coastline must be forged from lava.

Guide a living island community

Islanders make their own decisions. They gather food, wood, stone, and clay; carry supplies; construct buildings; eat, rest, worship, explore, and respond to nearby dangers. Your role is to create the conditions for them to succeed.

Place plans for homes and useful structures, including:

  • Tents, huts, wood houses, and larger shelters

  • Storage huts and temples

  • Banana groves and timber groves

  • Stone quarries and clay pits

  • Campfires and tiki torches

  • Guard towers and guard gates

Villagers collect the required local resources and complete construction themselves. Build homes to support a larger community, create storage for its supplies, and use temples, Faith, and Fear to influence your Mana and the future of the settlement.

Shape water, lava, and the landscape

Every island changes over time. Carve a basin and reveal a spring to create a freshwater pond. Redirect lava away from a village or toward the sea. Watch hot lava cool into dark basalt, rock weather into soil, and vegetation spread across land you have helped create.

The island is not a static map. Water, lava, terrain, resources, vegetation, wildlife, weather, and settlements all react to the world you reshape.

Reconnect the archipelago

Reach beyond your first shoreline to discover distant islands, lore sites, and isolated communities. Reconnecting a remote settlement is more than building a bridge: it needs access to safe land, freshwater, food, homes, and the resources to become self-sustaining.

Each island presents new terrain, coastlines, volcanic layouts, and choices about where to build, what to protect, and when to expand.

Choose when to connect

Not every island is safe. Hostile wildlife can threaten a settlement once a route connects its shore to yours. Build guard towers and gates, let villagers defend their home, and use the terrain itself as part of your strategy.

A connection can bring new people, resources, and opportunity—but it can also bring danger.

A relaxed god game with real consequences

Isle Forge is built around a calm tropical atmosphere, changing scenery, island music, and the satisfaction of watching a world develop before your eyes. But every power has a cost, every route changes the island, and every decision affects the people who call it home.

Shape the fire. Grow the island. Build a future from the sea.
