Castillon is a bite-sized strategy game that blends RTS and TD gameplay

As a renown wizard you lay claim to a new land to build your castle. But beware, for demon invaders roam the wilds. Grow your kingdom and defenses during the day then fight off waves of enemies at night!

Play solo, or team up with a friend in 2-player online or LAN co-op

Inspired by the base-building and resource management of classic RTS titles like WarCraft 3, the defensive experimentation of GemCraft, and simplified tactics of games like Thronefall and Bad North – Castillon aims to offer a familiar yet fresh experience that borrows from some of our favorite titles.

BUILD YOUR KINGDOM. SURVIVE THE NIGHT

Daytime plays like a condensed RTS, with the focus being on base-building and resource management. Gather resources, venture out in search of loot, expand your kingdom, and prepare your defenses before nightfall.

At night the game switches to a TD, putting your fortifications to the test. Every level brings new enemies, unique resource limitations, and unexpected twists that demand fresh strategies. Adapt your plans, make the most of what you have, and survive the nightly onslaught. If your Castle falls, it’s Game Over!

MASTER THE FOUR SCHOOLS OF MAGIC

Every defensive tower has three slots for runes from four schools of magic: Holy, Arcane, Necrotic, and Engineering. Combine them to create powerful new tower types, from devastating laser beams and raging twister, to enhancement auras and tanky tower golems. Experiment with different combinations to discover new ways to defend your kingdom.

Each morning, choose from random Drafts that let you upgrade your buildings, learn new spells, or jumpstart your resource production. Make every choice count!

FORGE YOUR OWN PLAYSTYLE

Your wizard has RPG-like stats and progression. After each attempt, you’ll experience to level up and earn skill points. Invest in Vitality, Dexterity, Intelligence, and Wisdom to shape your hero around your preferred playstyle.

Complete Level Challenges to unlock new mounts, hats, cloaks, and wands. Customize your loadout to suit your strategy. Build a wizard who can adapt to whatever the night throws at you.

CONQUER EVERY CHALLENGE

Every level has its own mechanics to keep you on your toes. No single strategy will carry you through every encounter. There are 5 main levels to master, and a special Endless Mode level to put your strategies to the ultimate test!

Tailor the difficulty with modifiers that will make a level easier or harder – rescaling your final score accordinly. Push the difficulty to the limit, chase higher scores, and strive for the perfect 3-Star rating on every level. Or pair up with a friend, and take on larger, more powerful waves!

SUMMARY

Castillon is designed to be a compact, accessible strategy experience. The main campaign is likely to take you 4-6 hours. 100%-ing the game, replaying with a friend, or pushing Endless Mode to the limit may take much longer!

The game has all the hallmarks of a tiny classic RTS base defense. It is crafted to provide the same fun but distilled in a bite sized and approachable way.
