Not everything takes itself seriously, though. Between the scares and disturbing discoveries, you'll find strange characters, unexpected humor, and secrets that reward a little creative thinking.

Experiment with your surroundings. Try the unconventional. You never know what you might discover when you stop playing by the rules.

EXPECT THE UNEXPECTED

Your flashlight is more than a tool. It's how you interact with the world around you.

• Alter your surroundings. Switch between different versions of the same environment, changing room layouts, revealing hidden passages, and opening new paths forward.

• Use the light to your advantage. Some enemies are vulnerable to its glow, while others can be outsmarted by changing the environment around them.

• See what others can't. Reveal hidden messages, uncover clues, and discover details that only appear when you change the light.

• Take control of your escape. Switch your surroundings to outmaneuver enemies, escape dangerous situations, and find your own way forward.

• Need a breather? Turn off your light and escape into a more familiar, welcoming world. Enjoy the peace while it lasts...

What begins with small changes can lead to entire environments transformed. Learning how and when to switch between them is essential to solving puzzles, exploring the asylum, and staying alive.

PUZZLES THAT REWARD CURIOSITY

Forget simply finding a key and moving on. The asylum is filled with puzzles that challenge you to observe, experiment, and think outside the box.

Manipulate the environment, uncover clues hidden in unexpected places, and discover how your flashlight interacts with objects and machinery. Solutions aren't always obvious, and sometimes you'll need to look at a problem from an entirely different perspective.

And keep your eyes open. Secrets are everywhere, and the game rewards those willing to explore every corner and try something unexpected.

A NIGHTMARE BLEEDING INTO REALITY

Set in the 1960s, you awaken as Patient #001 in West Grove Psychiatric Hospital, under the care of Dr. Kade. But as his treatments grow increasingly extreme, something begins to feel terribly wrong.

Following a failed lobotomy, your recurring nightmares become more than dreams. Armed with a mysterious flashlight, you'll search for a way out as the boundaries between your waking life and the worlds within your mind begin to blur.
