About the game

Get in. Destroy the boss. Get the hell out. An action platformer where the faster you move, the more chaos you unleash at once.

Original Steam description

Get in. Destroy the boss. Get the hell out.

Situation Normal is a fast, chaotic 2.5D action platformer built around one simple mission: infiltrate an underground facility, destroy its bosses, and fight your way back out as everything falls apart.

The faster you move, the more chaos you unleash.

Move carefully, and situations escalate gradually. Rush forward, and everything starts happening at once. The game is designed for speed, but it won’t force you to rush. How much chaos you take on at once is up to you.

Fight through collapsing factory halls, malfunctioning laboratories, and a power plant spiraling out of control. Armed enemies, unstable machinery, and environmental hazards stand between you and the exit.

Movement and combat go hand in hand:

  • Dash by firing backwards — turn weapon recoil into movement

  • Switch weapons instantly and adapt on the fly

  • Use special ammo strategically

  • Trigger collapsing ceilings, unstable floors, and destructive machinery

  • Respawn instantly and retry rooms without lengthy interruptions

Old-school action. No unnecessary distractions.

Linear, handcrafted levels. Tough but fair challenges. No lengthy cutscenes, skill trees, or complicated progression systems.

Observe, react, experiment, and get better with every attempt. Play carefully until you know what you’re doing — then see how fast you can make it through the carnage.

Situation Normal combines tight platforming, heavy gunplay, environmental destruction, and a dry sense of humor.
